For the last 10 years, the Motor4Toys Charity Car Show has brought together car enthusiasts from across Southern California and beyond to collect toy donations for needy children. Not only does this show support a great cause, but it is one of the largest and most eclectic shows around. Hotchkis Sport Suspension and our team of loyal enthusiasts, the H-Team, came out to deliver our collection of toys and check out the 5,000+ cars in attendance.
We had a great turnout with iconic Hotchkis cars like our E-Max Challenger, Rob Phillips’ C10, Rob and Trish Byrds’ Blu1 and Blu2 5th Gen Camaros, Shannon Hudson’s new Dodge Dart ACR, and Hotchkis Cheif Engineer Aaron Ogawa’s Scion FR-S autocross killer. In addition to our current crop of H-Team members, there were also quite a few prospective members that came out to join us brining out their cool Pro-Touring rides that included a couple of El Caminos, a 3rd Gen Camaro, a Chevelle, and a few 5th Gen Camaros.
Wandering the endless isles of the show’s lot we were greeting with everything from high end Italian exotic cars to restored classics, off-roaders, import cars, movie cars, and more. There were displays set up from the LA County Sheriffs, LAPD, and LA Fire Department that included three helicopters that they landed in the earlier in the morning. There were also car clubs for just about every type of car there – Mustangs, Porsches, Modern Muscle, Exotic and Luxury were all represented.
Just before 11am we gathered all of the H-Team members and friends to get ready for a fun two hour canyon drive that would take us on some of the best roads SoCal has to offer. After we got all 20 cars together we set out on our 62-mile traverse of the Santa Monica Mountains that took us from Woodland Hills to Leo Carillo Beach and finally back in to Westlake for a delicious barbeque lunch.
We had an absolute blast at the show and on the cruise hanging out with all of our current H-Team members as well as our new prospective members. We have lots of fun H-Team activities on the horizon for 2014 including private autocross and track days, canyon drives, and more.
